Dear Mike Cares, what advice have you got for this geriatric go get her?

DEAR MIKE CARES: I'm a 83-year-old widower who was very happily married for many years. I have decided to re-enter the dating game. I met a very nice younger widow, she is 62, and we really connected. We're thankful to have found each other. She had met a man “Harry,” she enjoyed being with some years ago, but it was of short duration because he died. She told me they had a nice relationship, but he couldn’t keep up! My problem is how often she speaks about him. Harry this, Harry that. Last month she mentioned him at least two dozen times. I tried a few times subtly suggesting it would be better if she didn't mention him. I'm not sure she understands it could undermine our relationship. We are spending a lot of time together; the next steps may include a more than platonic relationship. What to do? -- WORRIED WIDOWER IN NEW ENGLAND
DEAR WORRIED WIDOWER IN NEW ENGLAND: At 83 shouldn’t you just be grateful that you aren’t lying on slab at the morgue? Let’s face it if she’s attracted to you and willing to spend the 45 minutes it’s going to take to get old Mr. Johnson’s full attention shouldn’t you just sit back and hope for the best? 62 is no spring chicken, but some of these cougars may push you to the brink. Can you keep up, because you don’t want end up like Harry this, or Harry that? My advice is to close your ears and open her legs, if she mentions Harry’s name while you are inside of her just whisper "this is exactly how Harry told me it would be" and then you can go ahead and die. Good Luck and Keep in Touch! Dear Mike Cares is also on X, Instagram, Reddit, Substack and Facebook (whatever they are.)
