DEAR MIKE CARES: I am a 24-year-old male who has been in a relationship with a great woman, "Hayley," for three years. She has excellent qualities, a good job, she's super loving and would be a wonderful wife someday. My family loves Hayley -- but my buddies don't, and it is causing me to have mixed feelings. Some days I love her, but on others I want to break up. Then I think of how fantastic our lives would be together. It's weird, because Hayley doesn't change her personality -- it's totally my issue. I'm scared that if I break up with her it could be the worst mistake of my life, and I'll regret it. Please give me some guidance and point me in the right direction to find the love I have for her. -- SENSITIVE GUY, MILWAUKEE
DEAR SENSITIVE GUY, MILWAUKEE: Even if Hayley can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch and lives for making your meals, cleaning your crib, and handing you a beer every time you snap your fingers, 24 years old is way too young to even consider marriage. As to your friends, they are way more important to keep close then family, after all when you get divorced they’re the only ones who will be there to cheer you up, take you to strip clubs and blow sunshine up your ass every time you feel depressed, not that men should ever let other men know they feel depressed. Anywhoo…don’t be scared to break up with her, the worst mistake of your life won’t arrive for about 10 more years in the form of another broad all dressed up like the perfect wife. Good Luck and Keep in Touch! Dear Mike Cares is also on X, Instagram, Reddit, Substack and Facebook (whatever they are.)
