Dear Mike Cares, what advice would you give this Canadian lottery winner?

DEAR MIKE CARES: For the entirety of our 15-year relationship, my wife has never listened to me. It's literally the only thing I've ever asked her to do. She constantly tells me I have nothing worthwhile to say, without ever actually letting me finish a sentence.

My mother is coming into some money and offered me a sizable sum, provided I don't tell my wife. I'm seriously considering "taking the money and running." I can no longer deal with the constant emotional abuse. My wife treats her children the same way, and it's disgusting to me. What should I do? -- TEMPTED IN CANADA

DEAR TEMPTED IN CANDA:  You just may be the luckiest man in the great white north, because you can get rid of your wife and come into riches by simply telling her the truth.  “Honey, I am sick of most everything about you, and I find your behavior disgusting, my mother has promised to make me rich if I agree not to tell you about the money, and flee, so even though I don’t smoke, I am going out for a pack of cigarettes and will never look back.”   Don’t worry she will only hear this ‘HONEY…BEHAVIOR…..MY MOTHER…..CIGARETTES…..BACK”  Good Luck and Keep in Touch!
